About the Programme
Veer Baal Diwas is observed to commemorate the unparalleled courage and supreme sacrifice of Sahibzada Zorawar Singh and Sahibzada Fateh Singh, the younger sons of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji, who laid down their lives at a tender age to uphold righteousness, faith, and justice. In this spirit of remembering their heroic legacy, S. Ch. V. P. M. R. Government Degree College, Ganapavaram organized an Awareness Programme followed by an Awareness Rally to instill values of bravery, patriotism, moral integrity, and national unity among students and the public. The observance also included collective viewing of the address delivered by the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi garu, which further reinforced the ideals of courage, sacrifice, and national harmony, thereby enriching the learning experience and inspiring participants toward responsible citizenship.
Inaugural Session
The programme was presided over by Principal Dr. P. Nirmala Kumari, who emphasized the importance of remembering the sacrifices of the Sahibzadas and highlighted how their courage continues to inspire generations to uphold truth, justice, and righteousness.
Awareness Programme
As part of the awareness session, Sri P. Bhaskararao, Lecturer in History, enlightened students on the historical background and significance of Veer Baal Diwas, highlighting the unparalleled sacrifice made by the young martyrs in defense of their faith and values.
Sri S. Venkanna Babu, Lecturer in Commerce, coordinated the programme effectively, ensuring active participation of students.
Sri K. V. Ganesh Kumar, IQAC Coordinator, and Sri N. V. N. B. Srinivasarao, Lecturer in Chemistry, along with faculty members and students, actively participated in the programme and encouraged students to reflect on the relevance of courage, discipline, and patriotism in contemporary society.
Viewing of the Hon’ble Prime Minister’s Address
As part of the observance, all staff and students collectively viewed the webcast of the Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s address on Veer Baal Diwas (26 December 2025) through the official PM India Webcast platform. The address further reinforced the ideals of courage, sacrifice, and national unity, complementing the objectives of the college-level activities. Awareness Rally
Following the awareness programme, an awareness rally was organized by students and staff. The rally passed through nearby areas of Ganapavaram with placards and slogans promoting bravery, sacrifice, and national unity. The rally attracted public attention and successfully spread awareness about the significance of Veer Baal Diwas among the local community.
