Government Degree College, Ganapavaram, celebrated World Coconut Day on September 2, 2025, to highlight the nutritional, economic, and cultural significance of the “tree of life.”
The event featured a “CocodeLight” food showcase by B.Sc. Botany Minor students, presenting innovative coconut-based dishes, and a PPT presentation competition on topics like cultivation, medicinal uses, and economic importance of coconut. Dr.Ch.Chaitanya, Lecturer in Botany coordinated the event.
Principal Dr. P. Nirmala Kumari, Vice Principal Dr. K. Swarupa Rani faculty and students actively participated, making the program a platform for creativity, learning, and awareness.
