The Departments of History and Social Work of S.CH.V.P.M.R. Government Degree College, Ganapavaram, jointly observed World Mental Health Day on 10th October 2025 to promote awareness about mental health and emotional well-being among students.
Dr. P. Nirmala Kumari, Principal, presided over the program and addressed the gathering on the importance of maintaining mental balance and seeking timely help to overcome stress, anxiety, and depression. She emphasized that good mental health is the foundation of a successful and happy life.
Dr. K. Swarupa Rani, Vice Principal, and Sri K.V. Ganesh Kumar, IQAC Coordinator, appreciated the efforts of both departments for organizing a meaningful awareness programme for students.
The session was coordinated by Sri P. Bhaskara Rao, Lecturer in History, and Dr.G.Venkatarao, Lecturer in Social Work. They conducted interactive sessions, discussions, and student talks focusing on the theme of World Mental Health Day 2025 — “Access to Services- Mental Health in Catastrophes and Emergencies.” Students actively participated and shared their views on self-care, peer support, and maintaining a healthy mindset.
