The Women Empowerment Cell of Government Degree College, Ganapavaram, organized an awareness program on World Suicide Prevention Day on 10th September 2025 with the participation of 50 students.
Dr. P. Nirmala Kumari, Principal, stressed the importance of valuing life and seeking help in times of distress. Dr. K. Swarupa Rani, Vice Principal, highlighted the role of teachers and parents in identifying early signs of depression, while Sri K.V. Ganesh Kumar, IQAC Coordinator, emphasized the role of counseling and peer support. Dr. Ch. Anuradha and Mrs. P. Bala Manikanta, Women Empowerment Cell Coordinators, motivated students to build self-confidence and a positive outlook.
The program concluded with the strong message: “Suicide is preventable – Together we can make a difference.”
