World Tuberculosis (TB) Day was observed on 24.03.2025 by organizing a Guest Lecture on TB Eradication. The program was jointly conducted by the Departments of Social Work and Zoology, with the objective of raising awareness about tuberculosis prevention, treatment, and eradication strategies.
Dr. P. Kiranmai, Medical Officer at PHC Ganapavaram, served as the resource person. In her insightful lecture, she highlighted the causes, symptoms, and preventive measures of TB, while also emphasizing the significance of early diagnosis and the importance of completing the prescribed treatment course.
Principal Dr. P. Nirmala Kumari stressed the need for continuous awareness programs to combat TB effectively. Vice Principal Sri P. Madhuraju and IQAC Coordinator Dr. Ch. Chaitanya emphasized the role of educational institutions in promoting health literacy. Dr. K. Swarupa Rani, Dr. Sk. Parveen, Dr. G. Venkata Rao (Lecturer in Social Work), and Sri NVNB Srinivasarao (Lecturer in Chemistry) actively participated in the event.
The session also witnessed the participation of CHO Sri P.Wilson, local PHC staff, faculty members, and students, making it an informative and impactful awareness program.
