S.Ch.V.P.M.R. Government Degree College, Ganapavaram, organized a meaningful Donation Drive at Sunrise Foundation Old Age Home, Mahadevapatnam (near Undi), reaffirming the institution’s commitment to community engagement and social responsibility.
The programme was jointly conducted by the Youth Red Cross (YRC) Society and NSS Units I & II. As part of the initiative, student volunteers distributed essential items such as rice, biscuits, fruits, and medicines to 33 elderly residents, bringing comfort and support to the inmates.
The activity was guided by YRC Coordinator Sri Ch. Rajababu and NSS Programme Officers Dr. G. Venkata Ramana, Lecturer in Telugu (Unit–I), and Sri Sk. Ansari, Lecturer in Chemistry (Unit–II), who actively participated along with the students and ensured the smooth conduct of the programme.
On this occasion, the Principal, Dr. P. Nirmala Kumari, appreciated the sincere efforts of the YRC and NSS units and encouraged students to develop empathy, compassion, and social responsibility towards the underprivileged sections of society.
The programme stood as a testament to the college’s dedication to societal service, with enthusiastic student participation making the event both impactful and memorable.
