As part of the Admission Campaign 2026–27, S.Ch.V.P.M.R. Government Degree College, Ganapavaram undertook a structured outreach programme to create awareness among Intermediate students regarding higher education opportunities and academic programmes offered by the college.
The campaign was conducted under the guidance of the Principal, Dr. P. Nirmala Kumari, and the Admission Campaign was led by the Vice Principal, Dr. K. Swarupa Rani, who played a key role in planning and executing the outreach activities.
Identification of Junior Colleges
On 19.01.2026, the following nearby Junior Colleges were identified for outreach:
- SCBR Government Junior College, Ganapavaram
- ZP High School for Girls, Ganapavaram
- Sri Chanakya Junior College, Ganapavaram
- GSR Junior College, Pippara
Interactions were held with the Principals and Headmaster of the identified institutions on the same day, and suitable dates were scheduled for student rallies and interactions, keeping in view the Intermediate examination schedule.
Student Rallies and Outreach
As per the directions of the Commissioner of Collegiate Education, student rallies were organized to motivate Intermediate students to continue higher education and to familiarize them with academic programmes, facilities, scholarships, and student support services available in the college.
The rallies and interactions were conducted as follows:
- SCBR Govt. Junior College, Ganapavaram – 20.01.2026 (Forenoon Session)
- Sri Chanakya Junior College, Ganapavaram – 20.01.2026 (Afternoon Session)
- ZP High School for Girls, Ganapavaram – 27.01.2026
Faculty members and mapped student volunteers interacted directly with Junior College students, highlighting the importance of degree education, affordability, quality teaching, government scholarships, and career prospects. Posters and banners were displayed to strengthen admission awareness.
OPEN DAY – 31 January 2026
As a culmination of the Admission Campaign, OPEN DAY was successfully conducted on 31.01.2026 at 2:00 PM in the Seminar Hall of the college to provide first-hand exposure of campus facilities and academic environment to visiting Intermediate students.
The programme commenced with a prayer song, followed by the address of the Principal, Dr. P. Nirmala Kumari, who welcomed the gathering and encouraged students to pursue higher education in government institutions. The Admissions Poster was inaugurated by Sri K. A. V. Satyanarayana Raju, Secretary, CPDC, who also addressed the students. CPDC member Sri Ch.V.Satyanarayana Raju also tookpart in the event and enlightened the students abput the facilities in the college.
A college audio-visual presentation was screened, showcasing academic programmes, laboratories, infrastructure, and student support services. The programme was graced by the presence of Principals from neighbouring Junior Colleges, who appreciated the initiative taken by the college.
The Vice Principal, Dr. K. Swarupa Rani, elaborated on academic structure, student welfare measures, and scholarships, while the IQAC Coordinator, Sri K. V. Ganesh Kumar, explained quality initiatives and teaching-learning practices followed in the institution.
An interactive feedback session was held, enabling visiting students to clarify their queries regarding admissions and courses. The programme concluded with closing remarks, Vote of Thanks, and the National Anthem.
Following the formal session, students were taken on a guided campus tour, covering the JKC Laboratory, Computer Labs, Library, Science Laboratories, Departments, Gymnasium, Playground, and Canteen. As a gesture of encouragement, pens were distributed to the visiting students.
Outcome
The Admission Campaign and OPEN DAY activities significantly enhanced awareness among Intermediate students regarding higher education opportunities and successfully motivated them to consider S.Ch.V.P.M.R. Government Degree College, Ganapavaram for their degree studies.
