Training Programme on First Aid by YRCS-24.03.2026

The Youth Red Cross Society (YRCS) of S.Ch.V.P.M.R. Government Degree College, Ganapavaram organized a First Aid Training Programme on 24 March 2026 in the Smart Room of the college.

The programme was coordinated by YRC Coordinator Sri Ch. Rajababu and Smt. P. Balamanikanta, who ensured the successful conduct of the programme.

The programme was presided over by the Principal, Dr. P. Nirmala Kumari, who addressed the students and emphasized the importance of first aid in saving lives during emergencies. She highlighted that basic first aid knowledge is essential for every individual.

Vice Principal Dr. K. Swarupa Rani, Lecturer in Economics, addressed the students and stressed the importance of timely response and awareness in handling emergency situations. IQAC Coordinator Sri K. V. Ganesh Kumar also appreciated the initiative taken by the Youth Red Cross Society in organizing such a useful programme.

The resource persons, Dr. K. Omkarnadh, Medical Officer, and Sri J. Wilson, Community Health Officer (CHO), Primary Health Centre (PHC), Ganapavaram, provided detailed explanations on various first aid techniques. They shared real-life experiences from medical practice, making the session practical and engaging.

On this occasion, Physical Director Sri J. Venkatesh also shared valuable tips related to first aid and personal health, enriching the programme.

Around 50 students actively participated in the training programme. The session was highly informative and interactive, equipping students with essential life-saving skills and confidence to respond effectively in emergency situations.

The programme concluded successfully with positive feedback from the participants.
