Plantation Drive Promoting “Source Segregation and Zero Waste Lifestyles” under SASA Initiative-28.03.2026

In accordance with the circular issued by the Commissionerate of Higher Education under the Swarna Andhra Swachha Andhra (SASA) programme, Sri Chintalapati Vara Prasada Murthy Raju Government Degree College, Ganapavaram organized a Plantation Programme as part of the March 2026 theme “Source Segregation and Zero Waste Lifestyles.”

The programme was conducted under the leadership of Dr. G. Venkata Rao, Lecturer in Social Work, who headed the SASA Committee and coordinated the activity with active participation from students and staff members.

The initiative aimed to promote environmental sustainability, ecological awareness, and responsible waste management practices among students while contributing to a greener campus environment. Saplings were planted in designated areas of the college premises, reinforcing the importance of environmental protection and community responsibility.

The programme was conducted under the guidance of the Principal, Dr. P. Nirmala Kumari, who encouraged students to actively participate in environmental conservation activities aligned with the objectives of the SASA initiative.

The plantation drive reflected the institution’s commitment towards sustainable practices and the Government of Andhra Pradesh’s vision of creating a clean, green, and environmentally responsible society.
