An Awareness Programme on Community Service Project (CSP) was conducted for First Year students at S.Ch.V.P.M.R. Government Degree College, Ganapavaram.
The programme aimed to create awareness among students regarding the Community Service Project (CSP) introduced as part of the Revised Curricular Framework 2025-26 in accordance with the guidelines of APSCHE.
During the session, students were informed that the CSP will be undertaken after the completion of the Second Semester, carrying 1 credit with a minimum duration of 80 hours. The objectives, implementation process, community engagement activities, and significance of experiential learning through CSP were explained to the students.
The programme was coordinated by Dr. G. V. Sarada Devi, Lecturer in Mathematics and Internship Coordinator.
The Principal, Dr. P. Nirmala Kumari, emphasized the importance of community engagement and experiential learning in shaping socially responsible students.
Vice Principal Dr. K. Swarupa Rani highlighted the role of CSP in developing communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills among students.
The programme witnessed active participation from first-year students and helped them gain clarity about the structure and objectives of the CSP component.
