S.Ch.V.P.M.R. Government Degree College, Ganapavaram conducted a Summer Precautions Awareness Campaign under the SASA initiative on 29.04.2026. The main objective of the programme was to create awareness among the public about the safety measures to be followed during the summer season.
The programme was organized under the guidance of the Principal, Dr. P. Nirmala Kumari, who emphasized the importance of public awareness and preventive care during extreme summer conditions.
Vice Principal Dr. K. Swarupa Rani highlighted the need for adopting healthy practices to prevent heat-related health problems.
IQAC Coordinator Sri K. V. Ganesh Kumar appreciated the initiative and stressed the role of educational institutions in community outreach programmes.
The activity was coordinated by Dr. G. Venkata Rao, Lecturer in Social Work and SASA Coordinator.
As part of the campaign, students created awareness among the public regarding summer precautions such as drinking sufficient water, avoiding direct exposure to sunlight during peak hours, wearing light clothing, and maintaining proper food and health habits.
Faculty members and students actively participated in the programme, reflecting the institution’s commitment towards social responsibility and community welfare.
