The Eco-Club of S.Ch.V.P.M.R.Government Degree College, Ganapavaram organized a Plantation Programme to promote environmental awareness and enhance green cover on the college campus.
The programme was conducted under the guidance of the Principal, Dr. P. Nirmala Kumari, who inaugurated the activity and addressed the students on the importance of tree plantation for ecological balance and environmental protection. The programme was coordinated by the Eco-Club Convener, Dr. Sk. Parveen, with active participation from faculty members and students. The Vice Principal, Dr. K. Swarupa Rani encouraged students to adopt sustainable environmental practices.
As part of the programme, around 35 saplings, including flowering, ornamental, and shade-giving plants, were planted at various locations across the campus. Faculty members guided students on planting methods and plant maintenance.
The programme concluded with a pledge by students and staff to protect the planted saplings and contribute to a clean and green campus.
