The Department of Commerce of S. Ch. V. P. M. R. Government Degree College, Ganapavaram organized a one-day educational field trip on 29 January 2026 as part of the academic activities for the AY 2025–26. The places visited included the Sacred Godavari River near Vainateya Paadam, Yanam Bridge surroundings, Coringa Mangrove Forest (మడ అడవులు), and Kakinada Beach.
The programme was conducted under the guidance and encouragement of the Principal, Dr. P. Nirmala Kumari, who consistently supports experiential learning initiatives. The Vice Principal, Dr. K. Swarupa Rani, also encouraged the conduct of academic field visits as part of holistic education.
A total of 34 students participated in the field trip. The programme was coordinated by Sri S. Venkanna Babu, Lecturer in Commerce, and Sri P. V. Ramesh Babu, Lecturer in Computer Applications, who served as Field Trip Co-Coordinators.
The department extends its sincere thanks to the faculty members Dr. G. Venkata Ramana, Lecturer in Telugu, Dr. G. Venkata Rao, Lecturer in Social Work, Sri P. V. Ramesh, Lecturer in Computer Applications, Sri Prasad, JKC Full-Time Mentor, Sri Venkatesh, Lecturer in Physical Education, and the non-teaching staff Sri Adinarayana and Sri Deva for their continuous monitoring, guidance, and support throughout the field trip. Special appreciation is extended for arranging food, snacks, and refreshments, ensuring the comfort and well-being of students and staff.
The field trip provided students with firsthand exposure to natural resources, environmental conservation, and ecological balance, helping them understand the importance of sustainable development. Such academic field visits play a vital role in connecting classroom learning with real-world experiences and contribute to the holistic development of students.
