S.Ch.V.P.M.R. Government Degree College, Ganapavaram celebrated its Annual Day–cum–Farewell Day on 18 March 2026 with great enthusiasm and grandeur. The programme marked the presentation of the Annual Report for the academic year 2025–26 and a heartfelt farewell to the 2023–2026 batch of final-year students.
The programme was conducted under the able leadership of the Principal, Dr. P. Nirmala Kumari, who presented the Annual Report (2025–26) highlighting the academic achievements, co-curricular activities, and institutional progress. Madam also conveyed her best wishes to the outgoing students for their bright future.
The event was graced by Sri K. A. V. Satyanarayana Raju garu, Industrialist and CPDC Secretary, as the Chief Guest, and Sri T. Adinarayana Murthy garu, CPDC Member, who also participated in the programme. The Chief Guest addressed the students and motivated them with his valuable guidance. He also generously donated Rs. 10,000 towards the lunch arrangements.
The morning session was compered by Dr. G. Venkata Ramana, Lecturer in Telugu, and included formal proceedings such as the Annual Report presentation and prize distribution. The afternoon session featured cultural programmes, which became the highlight of the event. The session was also graced by Sri Epuri Satyanarayana garu, CPDC Member.
As part of the programme, Academic Appreciation Awards were presented to the final-year group toppers:
- S. Chaitra Vani – III B.Sc (Hons) Chemistry
- A. Najavi & III B.Sc (Hons) Zoology
- K. Kumari – III B.Sc (Hons) Computer Science
- B. Satyasri Sri Vijaya Lakshmi – B.Sc (Hons) Computer Applications
The college also conferred the Academic Performance Excellence Award to Dr. Sk. Parveen, Lecturer in Zoology, for achieving 100% results in 11 out of 12 papers handled by her during the academic year 2024–25.
Special mementos were presented to B.Umesh, K.B.R.D. Prasanth and K. Rupendra for their live music performance, which was a special attraction of the programme. K.B.R.D.Prasanth (Singer), K. Rupendra (Drums), and B.Umesh (Keyboard) enthralled the audience with their performance and added great vibrancy to the cultural session.
Special mementos were also presented to:
- J. Santharaju, III B.Sc (Hons) Chemistry, for receiving the Best Student Award by Rudraraju Foundation
- M. China Mariyamma II B.A (Hon) Economics, for her selection to the RTIH Boot Camp Training Programme
On this occasion, Vice Principal Dr. K. Swarupa Rani, Lecturer in Economics, and IQAC Coordinator Sri K. V. Ganesh Kumar addressed the gathering and appreciated the efforts of staff and students in organizing the programme successfully. They encouraged students to strive for academic excellence and holistic development.
The Principal, Dr. P. Nirmala Kumari, appreciated the collective efforts of all stakeholders and motivated students to continue striving for success in all spheres of life.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks, marking a memorable and successful celebration.
