Ganapavaram:National Handloom Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm on Friday at Government Degree College, Ganapavaram, under the auspices of the Commerce Department.
Addressing the gathering, Principal-in-Charge Dr. P. NirmalaKumari emphasized that everyone has a collective responsibility to protect and preserve the handloom industry, which serves as a vital part of our ancient cultural heritage. To inspire awareness about handloom fabrics and support the sector, faculty members and students proudly wore handloom attire to the event.
As part of the celebrations, essay writing and painting competitions were organized for students to foster appreciation for the handloom sector, and prizes were subsequently presented to the winners.
