The NSS Units I & II of S.Ch.V.P.M.R. Government Degree College, Ganapavaram organized a National Road Safety Awareness Programme in collaboration with the Police Department to create awareness among students on road safety rules and responsible behaviour.
The programme was conducted under the guidance of the Principal, Dr. P. Nirmala Kumari, who emphasized the importance of road safety awareness and responsible behaviour among students to prevent accidents and ensure public safety. The Vice Principal, Dr. K. Swarupa Rani, Lecturer in Economics, encouraged students to strictly follow traffic rules and highlighted the role of youth in promoting a culture of road safety in society.
The activity was coordinated by the NSS Programme Officers, Dr. G. Venkata Ramana, Lecturer in Telugu (Unit I) and Sri Sk. Ansari, Lecturer in Chemistry (Unit II). Sri A. Manikumar, Sub-Inspector of Police, addressed the participants and explained traffic rules, road safety measures, and accident prevention.
As part of the programme, essay writing and quiz competitions on road safety were conducted. A total of 43 students and 10 staff members actively participated in the programme.
The programme aimed to sensitize students on road safety and promote responsible citizenship.
