The Department of Commerce, S.Ch.V.P.M.R. Government Degree College, Ganapavaram organized a Financial Literacy Programme on 10.02.2026 in the Smart Room with the objective of creating awareness among students on financial planning, savings, budgeting, and responsible financial behavior.
The programme was conducted under the guidance of the Principal, Dr. P. Nirmala Kumari, and the Vice Principal, Dr. K. Swarupa Rani, Lecturer in Economics, with coordination support from the IQAC Coordinator, Sri K. V. Ganesh Kumar. The Principal addressed the students and highlighted the importance of financial literacy in managing income, savings, investments, and expenditures effectively. The Vice Principal emphasized the importance of savings, banking services, and financial discipline in daily life.
The Resource Person, Sri P. Anvesh, Counsellor, Center for Financial Literacy, delivered an informative session on savings, banking services, digital transactions, investments, and financial planning. Smt. B. Ranidurga, Lecturer in Commerce coordinated the programme. Faculty members Dr. Anuradha, Lecturer in English, and Smt. P. Bala Manikanta, Lecturer in Commerce, also shared inputs on financial awareness, money management, and budgeting.
Students actively participated and interacted with the resource person. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks, acknowledging the support and guidance of the Principal, Vice Principal, IQAC Coordinator, resource person, and faculty members.
