World Ozone Day on 16 September 2026

16 September 2026 Organized by Department of Physics & Chemistry

The Department of Physics organized a National Level Online Quiz on 16 September

2026 to commemorate World Ozone Day. The programme used Google Forms to

promote awareness of the ozone layer, ozone depletion, ultraviolet radiation, the

Montreal Protocol, the Kigali Amendment, climate change and broader environmental

issues. The response sheet recorded 70 submissions representing 64 unique email IDs

and 65 unique participant names. Participation came from 12 institutions across

Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu, demonstrating meaningful inter-institutional reach.

The median recorded score was 77.5, and 26 submissions scored between 90 and 100.

E-certificates were planned for all participants. At the time the response sheet was

downloaded for analysis, 57 records showed successful certificate generation and

email delivery, while 13 records remained in processing status. Repeated entries were

retained in the submission analysis but are separately disclosed to distinguish total

responses from unique participation.the National Level Online Quiz on
